Re-Vetting
Open the Application Forms screen:
Choose New.
The Serial Number Selection window will appear:
Select the required serial number format by clicking in the Choose box on the right hand side of this screen.
Once a Serial Number Format has been chosen, this screen will disappear and the Application Form will be available for data input. Only the fields displayed in yellow can be modified.
Go to the Old Serial No field and enter the current Serial Number of the Person being re-vetted.
Double-click in the Old Serial No field to open the Current Personnel Query screen if the Serial Number is unknown. A pop-up box will open allowing selection criteria to be entered:
Enter the Surname of the person you are re-vetting and click OK to begin the search.
Scroll through the matching records and click Choose to select the correct individual. This window will automatically close and you will be returned to the Application Form.
At this point the system will select relevant information from the Current Personnel record and display it.
Modify any out-of-date information, e.g. Position, and choose OK to add the re-vet.
If automatic numbering is turned off, the system will check that the entered Serial Number has not already been allocated to another individual. If automatic numbering is turned on then the system will generate a Serial Number automatically, providing a genuine number has not already been entered.
Choose
BPSS Check to update the relevant BPSS Check status flags and to issue a BPSS Authorisation Number.
Once all valid Basic Checks have been done choose,
Authorise to enter the Authorisation Start and Expiry Dates.
When the Applicant starts work, choose
Transfer to move the details from the Application Forms to the Current Personnel System.
The system will automatically attach any Vetting records, update any Material Issued or Held For the individual to show the new Serial Number, update any IVCO Visits the individual may be on and alter the Serial Number on the Blue Card, if relevant. The system will then either Archive or Delete the old Personnel record, dependant on the value of the System Key
CA_DELETE_REVET.
If the individual holds a Blue Card the system will display a message asking that the Blue Card details are checked to ensure they are up-to-date.
