Once an item has been issued to an individual, that individual is held responsible for the safekeeping of the item.
To ensure a person still has in his possession all the classified items that have been issued to him, a muster of his holdings can be printed out and checked against.
The Mustering process is divided into 2 parts:
· The user will find the issued items (usually for a single individual) and optionally pick a selection of these items to be mustered (Pick for Muster). These items will then be sent to a Muster Report. which produces the Muster listing and allocates a unique Muster Number to the selected items.
· Once all the holdings on the Muster Report have been successfully checked, the user will enter the Current Material screen and find all the items that have been checked by using the Muster Number as the selection criteria. The user will then Mark as Mustered all of the selected items. This option allows the entry of a Muster Date and will update all currently selected items with this Muster Date. This option should only be used when the items have been selected using a Muster Number only.
