On entering the Destruction Notices screen, 3 buttons are shown on the bottom of the screen.
Find - Allows the user to search for specific Notices.
New - Allows the entry of a Destruction Notice into the system.
For compliance with current Security Regulations all fields should have values entered but it is recommended that the following fields are definitely maintained:
If no Destruction Number is entered the system will automatically generate one when all the Header information is accepted.
Exit- Allows the user to leave the Notices screen and return to the Material System Menu.
Once a Notice has been added or a successful query has been performed, further buttons will appear.
Change- Allows the user to amend information for the displayed Notice Header.
Delete- Allows the user to delete the displayed Notice.
Add Items - Allows the allocating of Items that require Destruction to this particular Notice. There is no limit to the number of Items that may be added to a Notice.
Delete Items - Allows the user to drop Items from the Notice that may have been added accidentally.
Print Notice - Allows the production of the Destruction Notice detailing the items to be destroyed. This Notice will be sent to the printer.
Destroy Items - Allows the system to mark all Items on the Notice as being destroyed. This option is run when the signed copy of the Destruction Notice is returned to the Registry by the individual responsible for the disposal of the Items.
