Standing Data: Employment Codes

 
The data entered in this screen is used to determine the type of Employment of the individual being entered onto the system.
 
Information must be entered into this table before any Application Forms, Current Personnel or Clearances Held Off-Site are added.
 
Employment Codes
1

Code

Enter a unique code up to 10 characters in length to identify the type of Employee, e.g. PERM for Permanent Staff

Description

An indication as to the type of Employment the particular code refers to.
 
This description is only used for display purposes, e.g. Permanent Staff.

Number of Months

Specifies the number of months for which an authorisation is valid.
 
When a code is allocated to an individual in Application Forms, this value is used to calculate the Authorisation Expiry Date based on the Authorisation Start Date.

Contractor?

Specify whether this Employment code refers to a person designated as a Contractor.
 
Contractor clearances can be held in Application Forms for longer than12 months before moving to Current Personnel, whereas other personnel need to be re-vetted if they do not start work within 12 months of Authorisation.

Use this option to produce a Summary Report of the information displayed on this screen.
